Unfortunately, I don't have much exciting news to share. Been busy, had and quit a job because of personal reasons, then, eventually, the holiday season rolled around. Have not had the progress that I'd been hoping for with my books, but that's honestly my fault. My fault, my lack of motivation, and inspiration to do it.
I'm hoping, praying, and will try my damnedest to do more this year. Finish my projects before I start new ones, as I'm wont to do, and hopefully in the process maintain this blog too for once. This is gonna be a short post, something to 'motivate' me, if you will, but hopefully I'll have more to say later on down the road.
I've started to go to a workshop on the weekends. Not faithfully, but that's not required for it. It's an interesting build. They give prompts, we write for a little bit, and then we share with the rest of the people there orally. They (depending on time) can either give us feedback or we give them feedback.
It's an amazing little group, and I'm glad I found it. Something else that's new that I have is a Twitter account! Yay for me! https://twitter.com/ZGWriter for those interested.
One thing I've done to help me is set reminders on my phone, something to slap me in the face since I'm on it more than I probably should be. :P
So, what of you? Any motivation ideas or rituals you do while working on something? Post in the comments!

Fun Friday: Fun stuff!
WORLD-BUILDING! *Splodes*
Ahem. Now, back to your regularly scheduled normal blog post.
I had a lot of fun doing a project today for Kendra503 that will be up on her blog tomorrow. ;) You should all go check it out! Without giving too much away about it, she's doing a character interview of Leah from Marked, one of my WIPs (Work-In-Progress, for those who may not know). Leah is the main star of the book, as it were, and you can get to know more about her tomorrow! I'll post a link that you can go directly to the interview in the comments section as soon as it's up and about! :)
However, the opportunity has once again given me the drive to start world-building for Marked even more than I already have. For those curious to know, world-building is a term that basically means you're creating something. A point of reference is how much detail, time, plot, and thought J. K. Rowling put into the amazing world of Harry Potter. Now that is a perfect example of world-building right there.
I'm also going to be posting... here's hoping ( XP ), on Sunday, the first Lazy Sunday reading. As I explained before, not quite what I was orginally going for, but it's still a little view into the Marked world. Now, if only I could motivate myself to actually write for Marked, then I'd be set. I also didn't really do anything on the 4th other than play video games... |: Very exciting.
So, what did you do for the 4th, if you celebrated it? Light off some fireworks, or watch any of the televised programs? Let me know below!

Update Monday: Way. Too. Hot.
Hey, it may or may not be big news to some of you, but basically the entire west side of the US (where I just happen to be) is facing a huge heat wave at the moment. While the warm weather is nice... when there's tempatures of 120+ in some areas (thankfully not where I am...), I think it's safe to agree it's too hot. The heat is crazy. And it's supposed to go on for 2 whole weeks!
Anyway... I say that a lot, don't I? Anyway. Just a good way to transition, heh. I know you're wondering: "Where's yesterday's post?" Yeah... that didn't happen, again. I have hit the massive rift that is writer's block, and I'm slowly inching my way across. However, I think I figured something out. I will get it out soon, I mean it!
I don't really have a whole lot to say tonight (it's like 10 PM where I am)... I also really don't have plans for the 4th of July either, will probably just stay up and watch fireworks. :P I will have something coming up on Saturday though, thanks to Kendra503 (go visit her!). More details in Friday's blog! ;)
That's it though. Got any plans this summer, or maybe some advice on how to beat this awful heat? Add to the comments!

Fun Friday: Forgetting something?
Ha, so, yeah... Sunday really was good right?
Sorry about not doing it. Inspiritation was not with me, but I hope to get it done this Sunday so you all can see. I'm also sorry about not blogging last Monday. I've had a kind of busy week dealing with my dogs, they've got a little something wrong with them, but it'll clear up soon. So, there's that...
Finally got my GED in the mail. Still miffed about the last test though. Bleh. Whatever.
ANYWAY. Still looking for jobs too, have a few hopefuls now that I've got a GED to put on my apps, but, we'll just see, won't we? I don't really have much else to talk about... |:
Do you have any cures to get inspiration? Watching movies, going outside, listening to music? Share in the comments!

Fun Friday: Lazy Sunday readings?
So, I've been talking to Kendra503 (<3) about what to else to do on my blog, and kind of came up with something. She suggested that I could do a series of short stories and update it each week. And knowing her, she'll ride me on it. X3
They'll likely range from anything like horror to... maybe... romance. If it doesn't kill me of course. Ugh. I do have an idea for a short sort of 'mini-story' that'll be based off of one of my books, Marked. I know that authors generally do this sort of thing after the fact, but think of this as a short and sweet preview into Marked. The first part should, laziness permitting, be up on Sunday! Also, it's going to involve one of my favorite characters in the book, yay!
Also, I'm sorry I didn't post anything for... like a week. I got lazy. I know that's not a very good excuse though.
But... I did finish my GED! I didn't get quite the score I wanted, and I honestly feel I got a bit cheated on the last test I did, but nothing I can do to change it, sadly. Bridge under the water, I suppose. I've also actually changed my mind about doing a summer term, as I think I should take a break from school at the moment. I'll still have to do everything to get it started for fall, but I can try to get job in the interim. Just got to fill out stupid apps and all that. Fun stuff.
So... I usually like to ask you guys questions here. maybe I'll change it around! Anything you all want to ask me?

Monday Update: Crazy Weekend!
That was exhausting. Nice calm weekend, gone out the window! I went
with my mom over the weekend to see her take part in Dragon Boat racing,
it was so much fun! I'm tired and I didn't even do anything! I was
really excited to pick up the Maroon 5 tickets today though. :) Can't
wait for the concert. Let's see...
I really didn't do anything much more interesting, except studying. I did find a class I want to do over the summer term, but we'll see how that works out and if I can get into it on time. Fingers crossed! I'm thinking of what to review, think I might go for Ranger's Apprentice once I read through it, shall I or shall I not?
I'm also hoping (well, thinking about anyway) doing a little more content to make this more exciting. Got any ideas? Share them below!

Fun Friday: Classes done and moving on!
Hm. Planned on doing a post Monday, except it got super crazy with a end of term party for my class(es). Then Tuesday was a test (which I did good on!), Wednesday I spent about 2 hours after school just trying to get my computer back on, and yesterday was just a day to chill from my crazy week. I took another other test for the GED, and I did really well on it as well. :3 Tomorrow is gonna be fun, I'm gonna watch my mom in a race, then next Monday I'll help her pick up some tickets for a Maroon 5 concert. She won a call-in for them. :) Then next Tuesday I better be done with all of the testings, or else!
Meanwhile, with writing... I've actually gotten a little farther. Not a whole lot, but getting there. I'm gonna work on a short story over the summer to turn into Writer's Digest for a contest that they do. Hopefully I'll actually be able to do that and not put it off...
Anyway. I'm finally happy that summer is officially here! A lot of people probably know Oregon to be a rainy state, so it's always nice when we get to actually see the Sun! Just, not when it's like 80+ degrees outside and you feel like the distance between your house and where you are is as far as Oregon from New York.
I don't really have any other plans this summer, but I might look into getting myself a job. Money's always good. But not really a change from the usual. Boring, ain't it?
Do you have any plans over the summer? What over the weekend? Share them down below!
(Yes, the book review is coming too!) If you want to find out more about the contest, you can go to this link: http://www.writersdigest.com/competitions/writing-competitions for any information you need. If you do choose to do it, good luck!
